Agriculture: The challenge of producing more profitably without harming the environment!

According to the UN, demand for food is projected to grow by at least 70% by 2050. This means that farmers would need to produce more food in the next 40 years than they have in the last 10,000 years combined. The Green revolution no doubt brought self-sufficiency in food production to feed the growing population. However, the practice is not sustainable and leads to mass scale pollution of natural resources on one hand and reduced profitability in the hands of the farmers on the other hand. The need of the hour is to produce more food sustainably and profitably.

Clover has been relentlessly working to come up with Technical Solutions, Institutional Solutions and state of the art products to make this a reality across agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and aquaculture. We measure our success in terms of CRY – reduction in Cost for the farmers, enhancing quality of produce to enable farmers to get a better Rate and an increase in Yield. Our regular surveys and feedback show that farmers have gained by at least 25 to 30% on an average and in some cases by > 100% as well!!

We care for our farmers. Hence, we have come up with various pragmatic solutions to not only offer them technical support, but to also ensure they get rewarded for their efforts through enhanced profitability. Thus, along with production, marketing is an integral part of our approach to agriculture.
